Today in Torbole on lake Garda in Italy will be the first race of the world championship RS:x In the regatta will be attended by 130 men, representing 40 countries, and 106 women (36 countries).

To participate in the League checked in 7 Russian men (Eugene Ayvazyan, Alexander Askerov, Vladislav Burmistrov, Ilya Kirichuk, Anton Tokarev, Maxim Tokarev, Dmitry Sandakov) and 3 women (Elfwina Stephanie, Yana and Anna Reznikova Horikawa). Yacht Russia on behalf of all our readers wish the Russian driver of success. Come on, guys! We are rooting for you!

It is worth emphasizing that, in addition to the medals, in Torbole and men and women will be awarded 8 Olympic licenses. A year ago on a comprehensive world Championships in Aarhus Stefania Elfwina, as we already got to Russia a ticket to the Olympics. Agree, it would be great if now the Games broke and our children!

“We held a small training camp on lake Garda from 16 September, where it will be held the world championship, shared coach of the national team in Windsurfing Michael Dubin in an interview with page RUS Youth Sailing Team. – The weather was traditional for this area. Morning here the wind blows North, and toward the afternoon, from two o’clock, the gusts coming from the South. This direction of wind is called Ora – it inflates to 22 – 24 knots. We had two trainings per day, do not take advantage of such weather was impossible! But now the conditions began to change – in training race day was rain, the temperature dropped to 10-12 degrees. Everyone was waiting for the South wind, but it never came. Practices-the flight was postponed for three hours, but because of the calm weather to get out on the water and failed. The first competition day will start early Tuesday morning – judges decided to play it safe. Race will play Northern wind. The guys start scheduled for 8.00 in the morning, and the girls at 10.20. Well, we will continue to watch!”.
