Famous yachtsman shared his experience with novice athletes. At the end of the speech, Shayduko presented his textbook "The Alphabet of the Optimist" to the yachtsman who asked the best question. Guide for young captains.
"Optimist" is a school. A yachtsman must learn a lot: knit knots, choose the sails correctly, ”said George Shayduko, silver medalist at the 1996 Olympics. “It seemed that this boat is a trough that should spank on the waves, but in fact it needs to be able to manage, keep the yacht in balance. There are many different moments on which the speed, the steepness and the final victory depend. ”
