Sorrento's turn came
Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25th, the first race of the World Championship in RS: X class will take place in Sorrento, Australia. 116 windsurfers (70 men and 46 women) from 31 countries will take part in the regatta.
In the competition, which will be held in the Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club in Port Phillip Bay, Russia is represented by three men – Evgeny Ayvazyan, Alexander Askerov and Vladislav Burmistrenko. Women have one Russian representative – the famous Stefania Elfutina. We will root for them. Go Russia!
The male racers, which are larger, are divided into two fleets and will sort things out in qualifying competitions for two days, after which there will be a division into the Golden and Silver fleets. In women, qualification and final races will be held without division into the fleet.
