Sold the farm, bought a boat

In the Network in the midst of a discussion about whether the right parents who travel with their children in the far – and, more importantly, long-lasting, sometimes for a few years of sailing.

Some believe that it is empty and even harmful, saying that children in such families are deprived of the opportunity to develop normally and grow is flawed. Other examples, from which it follows that all these fears are just nonsense, and children in the campaigns are evolving even faster. Who is right?

Be honest: don’t know. But here’s the amazing story of Steve and Becky, a husband and wife with the Australian island of Tasmania, who were farmers, and then decided together with their children to radically change their life. Sold the farm, bought a yacht and set off into the unknown. Despite the fact that before none of them (except the head of the family) never a sail did not go.

What is this story surprising? Here’s what: when Steve and Becky moved to the yacht, they had 10 children – smaller than the other. Then there was the eleventh, when everyone in the family have become the sea wolves and cubs.

And they are happy!!!

First problem, according to Becky, was distress: children got used to the open spaces of the farmhouse, and there was a small boat. But gradually everything settled down, everyone found themselves “living space”. And, to the surprise of Steve, development of children is much faster than walking on land. Even kids will tell you thousands of stories about the fish and animals, knowledgeably talk about the formation of clouds, navigating by the stars, the sails and much more.

Don’t believe? Here is the address of the website, where we are on this amazing family read
