Sirena Marine shipyard appeared in 2006 by the joint efforts of the Turkish holding Kiraça and the Italian Azimut / Benetti Group. At the new production site in Bursa, on the shores of the Sea of Marmara, it was planned to build a number of models of the Italian yacht holding (some Azimut Magellano are still being produced there), but from the very beginning they assigned the shipyard with the task of producing their own yacht brands. As a result, three appeared at once: sailing Azuree and Euphoria and the line of motor yachts Sirena.
The partnership with Azimut / Benetti has declined to be very useful in terms of using advanced technologies to create cases (for example, the vacuum infusion method and working with carbon composites). As for the design and solution of project tasks, here Sirena Marine attracted the best names: Herman Frers, Tommaso Spadolini and Cor D. Rover work with the shipyard. Today, there are three models in the Sirena Marine lineup: the flagship Sirena 88 (26.8 m), Sirena 64 (20.7 m) and the youngest Sirena 58 (18.6 m). With the latter and begin acquaintance with the model range of the shipyard.
CONCEPT
To designate yachts of this type in English, there is no exact translation into Russian of the term passagemaker. It applies to yachts that can make long trips. How many do you know among 58-foot yachts? Nevertheless, the possibilities of the Sirena 58 are really wide. Like with larger models of the shipyard, its hull has a transitional type, with moderate resistance, which translates into fuel economy and, accordingly, a considerable sailing range. In addition, all models, including the youngest, have an oceanic category of seaworthiness CE "A" (RCD).
The main idea embedded in the Sirena 58 is a combination of high ride quality with the largest possible amount of habitable space on board. In addition, the Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini has developed a very successful and, importantly, flexible layout of the vessel for different needs.
The galley is located at the junction of the cabin and the aft cockpit
It looks like a master cabin when placing it on the midship – the entire width of the hull, from side to side
LOWER DECK
The shipyard offers an option with two huge cabins and two more three-cabin versions. The two-cabin layout alternative to the Sirena 58 has several features that are unique to a yacht of this size. Firstly, the volume of premises is simply royal. Secondly, it is an opportunity to have two master cabins on board at once, almost identical in size and with very spacious bathrooms: no one will be offended. Thirdly, when choosing a two-cabin layout, you will get an exit from the bow cabin directly to Ford. Get out of bed, immediately go up to your own private deck and have breakfast there – a luxury available to owners of superyachts. But where did you see this at 58 feet ?! “This is a very beautiful and practical feature of the Sirena 58,” says Tommaso Spadolini, “however, we had to work hard on this solution – in particular, to strengthen the bulkhead at the head of the bed.” But, having climbed seven steps, you can immediately be on the deck, and not go through the entire cabin, as is usually the case. ” Outside, with the hatch closed, the exit is disguised as a locker, which does not violate the design and leaves the side passage to the rest area at the foredeck free.
Sirena Marine is a young brand, but already quite successful, with prestigious awards
If you plan to receive more guests and need more beds, two three-cabin layout options allow the owner to choose a master cabin where he is more comfortable. If it is located in the bow, then the aft is symmetrically divided into two guest cabins (starboard and port side). And the familiar place of the master cabin in the midship (from side to side) gives the bow VIP cabin and another guest on the port side. The vertical stem made it possible to expand the area of the cabin in the bow (and the open seating area on the fordeck). There is also a lot of space above the head: the height of the ceiling in the cabins is about 2 m. By the way, in both layout options there are three bathrooms, more precisely, two and a half: two fully equipped (with shower) and one smaller (toilet and sink).
Finally, in any situation on the lower deck in the stern there is also a skipper cabin with its own bathroom and access from the bathing platform.
MAIN DECK
The "main entrance" of any yacht is its bathing platform. Here it is already standard on hydraulics and accommodates a tender of 2.8 × 1.4 m (load capacity 400 kg). A folding ladder integrated into the platform is provided for going into the water, and upstairs, into the saloon and cockpit, are wide steps on both sides.
On the ladder from the bow cabin you can climb directly into the open relaxation area on the deck
In the cabin, Spadolini offered panoramic glazing around the perimeter. Vertical logging lines look pretty brutal, like large explorer, but they also allow you to get volumetric and bright room. Immediately upon entering the cabin, there is a galley: well-equipped already in the standard, it serves as a link between the cabin and the cockpit; and there and there are dining areas – you don’t have to run far with plates. The dining area inside (it’s the living room) is located further in the nose, closer to the control post; opposite is another sofa, and a large television screen leaves the niche behind it. The control post is on the port side, which may not be very familiar, especially when mooring, but on the move there is an excellent panoramic view, and for convenience there is also a door for access to the deck. However, you can moor from another control post – on the flybridge. There he is also on the port side, but at the same time, the review of the crinoline when mooring the stern is just excellent.
FLYBRIDGE
The flybridge extending to the transom is equipped with everything you need on an open deck: a second control room, a dining area, a bar with a grill, a sunbed for sunbathing in the bow and a spacious aft area where you can put sun loungers. But the main thing is not that …
Sirena Marine optionally offers to install a powerful hardtop here, which will not only protect the flybridge from above, but complete with removable transparent sidewalls will allow you to get another cabin and be comfortable on the flybridge in any weather. This option is very popular, for example, in the south of the USA and in tropical zones (in the cold water areas, in our opinion, it will also be just as useful). And in the hardtop, behind the mast, you can install a rain shower, as in superyachts.
Idea Sirena 58 – a combination of good driving performance and spacious spaces
You can do the opposite, abandoning the flybridge altogether: in February 2020, the Sirena 58 was first shown at the Miami Yacht Show in the Coupe version – with an opening sunroof above the cabin. This option is good for those regions where the boat cannot be made high because of bridges, for example, for the Netherlands or, more importantly for us, for St. Petersburg.

RUNNING QUALITY
Developing the Sirena 58 project, Herman Frers actually received a mini explorer – both externally and largely in terms of internal structure. But, having borrowed brutal appearance from the explorers, the boat is quite nimble. The hull contours with vertical bow, sharp nose lines and a long keel (almost the entire length of the hull) are really similar to those that we see on leisurely long-range cruisers. However, the Sirena 58 is capable of speeds up to 30 knots with two 900-liter Volvo Penta D13 engines. from. The basic European specification includes the Volvo Penta D11-670 (speed 27 knots). Alternatively, you can install a pair of Cat C8.7 or C12.9 (650 or 850 hp). All options include aft engine placement and angular transmission, and five-blade propellers in half-tunnels increase useful traction. In economy mode, at a speed of 10 knots, the boat has an autonomy reserve of 850 miles.
Herman Frers himself described the cruise capabilities of the Sirena 58 as "anywhere in the world." Forgive the master this liberty: this yacht will still not be able to work as an icebreaker in the circumpolar regions, but in the simpler and more pleasant yachting areas it promises to show itself in all its splendor.
