Seventh, Ninth, Eleventh
The world championship in classes 49er, 49erFX and Nacra17 comes to an end in Rieser (Norway). This is the situation before the last day of the regatta (Recall that there are no ours in the Nakra, there are only 9 crews involved at all).
In the 49er after 11 races, the new Zealanders Isaac Machardi and William Mackenzie are confidently in the lead – 20 points (with one shot). The only Russian duet Mikhail Ushkov / Kirill Boboshko ranks 37th.
In 49erFX, after 12 races, Swedes Wilma Bobek and Malin Tengstrom still lead – 56 points (with one shot). But they do not have to wait for a quiet life: too close a rival. In second place is Willemijn Offerman / Eliza Ruiter (Holland) – 61 points, on the third Alexander Stadler / Silvia Speri (Italy) – 63. So it can still turn upside down.
Alas, Russian crews in the distribution of participation medals will not be accepted, although two of them are in the top ten. But – will not be able to reach under any scenario. Daniil Usachev / Ilya Ganeev occupy the 7th place, they have 123 points. On the ninth – Zoya Novikova and Diana Sabirova – 132 points. At the same time, our third duet is very close – at the 11th position: the sum of Vasily Andreev and Leonid Pushev – 141 points.
Such a heap performance. That in itself is a cause for optimism.
