      In the city of Sakaiminato on the island of Honshu in Japan started the world championship in the class "Laser-standard". The regatta is attended by 159 sailors from 57 countries.

The most important feature: 5 licenses for the 2020 Olympics will be awarded in Sakaiminato. Among those who claim one of them is our Sergey Komissarov. Which after four races held on Thursday and Friday (with one release) takes the 10th place – parishes (14) – 1 – 8 – 3.

Now Sergey has 12 points. At the same time from the first place it is separated only 5 points! An encouraging situation! But, of course, the whole struggle is still ahead.

A curious detail: the world champion of the last two years, Cypriot Pavlos Kontides, who loudly declared his intention to win his third gold in a row in Sakaiminato, is only 31st (31 points).
