Free app Yacht Dictionary contains about 3 thousand cards (about 10 thousand word forms). Yet it’s only available on Android, but, according to the developers, to release on the iOS platform too soon — only two weeks.
“In the future will be more and a paid version adapted for tablets and does not require Internet, but that in a few months. Basic Russian version as it was free, and will remain,” — said in Facebook one of the creators of the application Igor Reichman.
The dictionary includes vocabulary checklists, Charter companies, Regate and technical terms, SMCP (Standard Marine Communication Phrases; speech formulas for Maritime communications), abbreviations official abbreviations, names flags MSS-65 and shipbuilding terms. Many words are given not only translation but also interpretation. In addition to the transcription of English terms is also provided scoring function.
The term can be found either through the Search section or via the corresponding thematic tab.
In the future, the number of entries will be increased. For example, it is planned to add a section “Radio communications”.
Users first noticed that the section “Flags” contains illustrations. The developers have promised to fix it in updates.
