Italian Studio naval architecture by Hydro Tec shares new information and render its largest superyacht concept – the 100-meter Crossbow. Writes about this Boat International.

Boat hull and superstructure, similar boom made of aluminium. The width of the “Crossbow” (it is translated the name of the concept) is only 12.5 m – more than a meter less than usual in boats of this size segment. The concept of different “quick, easy and elegant sport aesthetics”.

Draught of 3.5 meters allows you to go in shallow places where boats of this size, as a rule, forbidden.

The maximum speed of the Crossbow is 25 knots. The boat is driven by a pair of MTU engines of 16V 4000 M93L.

Studio Hydro Tec has designed the promenade deck, “keeping in mind speed”. The front part, meanwhile, can be converted into an entertainment area or an area for sunbathing when the boat is at anchor.

A key priority when creating the project was the availability of space for storage of tenders and water toys, because the owner “Crossbow” there is no need to use a support vessel. Under the helipad is a hangar for helicopters. Aft is a garage that can accommodate two a 9.5-metre tender and close to the midsection or four jet skis.

Perhaps the most interesting design decision is the non-traditional location of the wheelhouse, which was moved from the main deck to the very top, leaving room for a two-story atrium. Fresh rendering depicts the seemingly endless curved windshield.

Additional stars, if any are awarded to the boats, Crossbow receives in the beach club area of 135 sq. m overflow pool on the upper deck, a gym on the main deck and lounge area with a piano. Separate living room, private office, private cinema, Jacuzzi – all the benefits of a separate owner’s deck. All on Board cabins provided for 32 crew members and 16 guests.

“After the Monaco Yacht Show – in 2018, we see a growing interest to create new projects like Crossbow,” notes Richard Partington (Richard Partington), design of yachts Hydro Tec.

Unfortunately, Hydro Tec is willing to declassify only the 100-metre concept, because right now the Studio is at the design stage of other “Crossbows” and negotiate.
