The construction of the project Eco-Tender Italian shipyard Perini Navi announced in the fall of 2017. Just when the company was reorganizing and rebranding. And now, after a year and a half, a 25-metre aluminum boat-hybrid, fully developed “home” specialists of the shipyard, launched.
This boat is not only the first project completed by the Perini Navi group after the reorganization, but in General the first motorboat under this brand before the company has built motor yachts under the Picchiotti label.
More importantly, Eco-Tender is the only planning body in the history of the company. Never before has the Perini Navi Group has not released anything like that.
The project is designed for the owner of the 50-meter Perini Navi sailing. The customer didn’t want to change my boat for something a little more, but at the same time, he was not opposed to additional guest cabins. Second, the starting point was the desire of the client to explore the coast with my family on something more comfortable than a conventional RIB. The third condition concerned the design: an additional boat must not look less elegant than the existing owner of the sailing yacht, and to be as luxurious and upscale inside.
The decision considering all three wishes was found: as the “tender” spoke a compact motor yacht. A real werewolf turned out, after all the pretending — tender superyacht or superyacht tender — the big question.
“This is obviously not the usual tender, and the representative of the new generation super tender, equipped with facilities and technologies at the appropriate level. This ultra-modern tender opens new horizons in a time when the brand continues working to improve its product line to match changing market requirements” — says the Chairman and CEO of Perini Navi Lamberto Tacoli (Lamberto Tacoli).
A distinctive feature of the housing Eco-Tender was the high deck: the owner wanted to be able to easily and safely go with a motorboat to the sailboat and back. The raised deck allowed to organize in the bow of the boat are two “recessed” area furnished with sofas and tables. In fact, the nose — sofa, which is supposed to be a “springboard” for the owner who enjoys landscape photography.
Aft sun loungers for sunbathing. Bathing platform on the Eco-Tender is fixed. Under the visor hardtop located dining area.
On the lower deck are three double cabins for guests: VIP, occupying all the space on the midsection from side to side (maximum width of the Eco-Tender — 5.8 meters), the nose (as well as a VIP with a double bed) and one cabin with two single beds. Bulkhead separating the engine room from the living quarters, adjacent twin cabin for the crew. For each of the cabins on Board have a separate bathroom with a combined bath.
In the interior of the boat preference is given to a polished teak and white lacquered wood for furniture.
The prefix “Eco” boat owes its propulsion system: two diesel engines MAN V12-1650, two jet Hamilton HM 531 and two electric motors Siemens 150 kW, are complemented by Siemens generator Custom 125 kWe able to work in four different modes.
Diesel water cannons are powered only by the engine using fossil fuels. In hybrid — at the expense of one engine and one electric motor, which powers a generator. Diesel-electric mode involves only the generator and two electric motors.
During port maneuvers or in areas with especially fragile natural ecosystem to Eco-Tender for just one hour, you can enable a special option of the engines. This mode of “Zero emissions” (“Zero emissions”). The motors in this case are powered from the battery. Besides environmental friendliness, this mode is distinguished by the absolute silence. However, in three other configurations, it does not exceed 55 dB.
According to the Director of sales Perini Navi Boldrini Luke (Luca Boldrini), such a sophisticated hybrid system is first installed on a superyacht tender.
The maximum speed of the Eco-Tender — 30 knots. Cruise speed at 25 knots the ship can take up to 350 nautical miles. The handling of the boat is enhanced by the bow thruster 15 kW Quick Italia.
Draught — just 1.15 meters, which will allow it to go in shallow water and will significantly expand the geography of the places where Eco-Tender would be appropriate to use. The maximum displacement of the vessel — 71 ton. On Board can store up to 7,000 litres of fuel and 1000 litres of fresh water.
Unique to yachts of this size not only the engine, but the navigation system. In control panel, installed 4k Touch Screen through which a through I-Bridge Team Italia is Multitouch, you can manage all systems on Board. Monitors can be locked in two positions: the “navigation” and “cockpit”.
Augmented reality is connecting the navigation data with video images, will make technical information clear.
During a stop at anchor to monitor the boat will help the tracking system for the anchor (AWS), which is able to display and control all the necessary equipment. Thanks to it you can see everything that happens around the boat: the system “sees” 360 degrees. Using radar, thermal imager and lantern shows AWS tracks the movements of surrounding vessels. The system can be programmed to switch on the alarm when it detects dangerous approach.
For communication with the outside world on Board has two terminal satellite stations, providing Internet connection and 3 satellite phone. The connection with 50-foot sailboat owner to speeds of 100 Mbps, Eco-Tender will be able to support even tens of miles away.
Now the boat is undergoing sea trials. It is expected that the owner will give in April.
It is noteworthy that in the same time with the Eco-Tender for the first time touched the water and a 42-foot yacht Perini Navi evolution. About a year ago, the concepts of these two projects were released within two days. However, the launching of evolution yet is purely technical: the boat is driven from Istanbul to the Italian Viareggio.
