A little over two weeks left before the start of the XXIV St. Petersburg Sailing Week (sppn) and the championship of Russia in the national cruising racing yacht class “L-6”. Sppn is one of the oldest regattas, held in Russia, Dating back to 1898.
The purpose of the regatta was always the Union sailors improve their skills in the long March and promoting the development of infrastructure for water tourism in Leningrad region. Like last year, in conjunction with the regatta will be held the championship of Russia in the national cruising racing yacht class “L-6”.

An exciting sea adventure will begin August 8, 2020 start of the first stage of the Week and the Championship of Russia. For race week the regatta participants will have to pass more than 300 nautical miles and visit Kronshtadt, Fort Obruchev, Vyborg and Gogland island. The regatta will consist of 4 sea legs with a length of from 15 to 65 nautical miles and 3 short, dynamic port races.
Stages of the regatta:
1. August 8 – Saint Petersburg-Krondshtat.
2. 8 Aug – short race from Fort Obruchev.
3. August 10 – Fort Obruchev – island of Hogland.
4. August 12 – race around O. Hogland.
5. August 13 – island of Hogland – Vyborg.
6. August 14 – port race in the waters of the Gulf of Vyborg.
7. August 15 – the city of Vyborg – the city of Krondshtat.
Groups:
1. Yacht class “L-6”.
2. Yachts international racing score ORC.
3. No yacht racing points — free group.
Possible participation of yachts of classes a Carter 30, the Open 800 and chetvertichnykh. The exact definition of the scoring groups will be made after the meeting of the mandate Commission, which will be held in the format online 3 August 2020 (using a program ZOOM). For participants of the regatta is planned for award in each phase, morning exercises, as well as cultural program on Obruchev, O. Gogland and Vyborg.
Participation in the regatta is a good opportunity to obtain marine practices and new travel experiences at the ports of the Gulf of Finland!
