Need a new partner
The International Laser Class Association (ILCA) ceased cooperation with the largest manufacturer of yachts of this class – the company Laser Performance (Europe) Limited – and is urgently looking for someone to replace it.
This decision was made due to the fact that the company refused to allow inspectors of the International Association to its shipyard. This violated the terms of the agreement with the ILCA, which ensured the identity of the “Laser” class vessels.
The ILCA emphasizes that they are extremely concerned about the situation. It was not easy to decide to end the long-term cooperation with Laser Performance (Europe) Limited, whose yachts were so popular with yachtsmen in Europe, Asia and America. But there was no other way out for the International Association.
ILCA continues to cooperate with two other manufacturers of Lasers – in Japan and Australia. At the same time, the search began for a European company that could become a new official partner of the Association.
