Monaco started the main superyacht exhibition

Monaco opened the exhibition, the Monaco Yacht Show each year, gathering representatives of the superyacht industry and owners of superyachts.

This year, the MYS is involved 580 of the companies, shipyards, brokers, naval architects, designers and equipment manufacturers. Berths in port Hercule exhibited 121 superyacht, 42 of them new. The biggest superyacht exhibition of 95.2 metre Kismet from Lurssen, one of the most luxurious boats on the Charter market. This year Kismet rented for vacation celebrity couple Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Among the Prime in 2018 the largest is the 90-metre Oceanco from DAR. The largest sailing yacht — the 70-metre from Perini Navi Sybaris, and among the new — for sale, a 50-meter All About U from Ada Boat Yard. Compared to the previous year, the average length of all the yachts exhibited increased slightly — by a few metres. But the average inner volume has increased by more seriously — 15%, up to 623 714 gross registered tons.

The total cost of the boats who came to the exhibition in Monaco is more than 3 billion euros.

This year the organizers have built a new jetty in the Northern part of port Hercule with additional line of yachts, replacing the earlier mission’s floating pontoon.

Even before the official opening within the MYS was signed the first contract: German superyacht Builder Lürssen will build a 54-meter four-deck superyacht for a client from Asia.

As designers on the project number 13800 signed by Bannenberg & Rowell. As promised, wild Bannenberg (Dickie Bannenberg), the boat will be “masculine but elegant.” According to the contract, it must be delivered in 2021.

The boat show in Monaco will last until September 29. itBoat will monitor developments.
