In the Japanese city of Sakaiminato has finished the world championship in the class “Laser radial”. Gold of the regatta went to Anna-Marie the Rind from Denmark. It’s her you see in the pictures.
Now Anne-Marie is a double champion of the world: recall that she won in 2015. In addition, the Danish – bronze medalist at the 2016 Games in Rio.
For the first five of the six qualifying and final races (with two emissions) with the Rind scored 50 points. Second, having lagged behind on 36 points (!), became amenitiesa Marit Bouwmeester from Holland (it is, recall, the silver medalist of the 2012 Games in London, Olympic champion in Rio and also three-time world champion). Finally, the bronze women of great Britain Alison young – 89 points.
Our Ekaterina ziuzina did important work, winning for Russia one of the ten Olympic licenses that were played in Sakaiminato. This, of course, great! Only here took Catherine only 45th place (242 points), which, unfortunately, does not allow us to assess our Olympic prospects.
Our second representative – Valeria Lomachenko competing in the Silver fleet, 85-m a place (273 points).
It remains to add that Elena Vorobyeva (now in Croatia) settled in the table in 20th position.

P. S. at the same time in Sakaiminato ended and the world championship in the class “Laser radial” in men. As we reported, it was a strange tournament: in the regatta was attended by 32 yachtsman, but foreigners of them was only 6, the remaining 26 – local Japanese. However, for lovers of statistics report: gold went to Simon de Gendt (Belgium). Right behind him other five foreigners, then Japanese 26 rows.
