Let's wait until 2022
The SB20 European Championship in St. Petersburg was postponed to 2022, and the Netherlands and Ireland were selected to host the World Championships in 2023 and 2024.
Yesterday a videoconference of representatives of world associations SB20 took place. As part of the on-line meeting, a decision was made to postpone the previously scheduled regattas for one year in connection with the still not dead pandemic of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
Thus, the SB20 World Cup will be held in Cascais, Portugal, from August 29 to September 3, 2021.
The World Cup in Singapore will be held in 2022. In the same year, the European Championship in St. Petersburg will be held.
In addition, two new locations for holding the World Championships in 2023 and in 2024 were selected by voting. These are Dublin and The Hague respectively.
Conference participants chose these locations for regattas almost unanimously. Wind conditions and water features make races in these places as interesting and unpredictable as possible and require good tactical skills among yachtsmen.
We believe that there will be no more new regatta transfers.
