The championship of Russia on sailing in the SB20 class will be held in Saint Petersburg from 13 to 16 September

The first month of autumn for yachts SB20 was very eventful. In the very beginning in Ireland, the championship of Europe, which won the Russian team VIS Sailing Team (Artem Bailkin, Timur Sabirzyanov, Alexander Mikhailov). The gap from second place was nearly 20 points. It settled the Australian crew Porco Rosso (AUS 3756, coxswain Elliot, Noah), finished third masters regatta – team Sin Bin (IRL 3544, steering Michael O’connor). All in all, the championship was attended by forty seven crews, four of which represented our country. They all performed very decently. Sixth place at Melston Team (RUS 3708, Kirill Frolov, Egor Ignatenko, Egor Terpigorev), the seventh – MST (RUS 3722, Vasily Grigoriev, Maxim Kuzmin, Mikhail Markin), 14 took the place of Victoria Sailing Team (RUS 3755, Vadim Pusev, Ivan Gromov, Aleksei Kolobanov).
Also in early September in our city passed the championship of Saint-Petersburg. The victory was won by a crew from Moscow RUS 3718 (Denis Solovyov, Daniel Ignatov, Andrei Akimenko).
In recent years international a class yachts SB20 has become one of the most dynamically developing in the Russian professional sail, and Saint Petersburg already for the seventh time in its history will take the national championship. The competition will be held with the support of Russian sailing Federation, St.-Petersburg sailing Union, the Administration of the Petrograd district of Saint-Petersburg yacht club. The organizers expect participation in the race at least 20 teams from different regions of the country. Planned 12 races. This should be done at least 4 races to complete the championship considered valid.
The championship is held in the water area of the Neva Bay of the Gulf of Finland, on the basis of “SPb GBU “school sailing “Krestovsky island” at the address: St.-Petersburg, southern road, D. 4, K. 1
The press center of the championship is open daily and invites journalists, photographers and camera crew of the TV to visit the regatta. For media representatives organized exit in the sea on boats for the direct monitoring of the progress of the races.
