Introduced in 2006, the race immediately found a response among the famous and ordinary athletes of the class “Mini”. The race takes place every two years and this year kicks off for the eighth time.
This race has A category (like the Mini-Transat) and it requires special training for any yachtsman who wants to go on a journey across the Atlantic.
However, this season the race format SAS was changed in the pandemic COVID-19. And now, instead of two phases at 1300 miles each with an intermediate stop in the Azores will be held on three stages with start and finish in the Harbor of Les Sables-d’olonne. The result of the race will go to offset of the championship of France in the framework of the competition Course au Large en Solitaire (offshore ocean racing long distance). Arrival and registration of boats and crews begins with the first Aug.
