The third stage of the European division of the World League in the class of yachts Melges20 started in Scarlino (Italian region of Tuscany).
But why did we decide to accompany this note with a photo of the crew of the Russian Bogatyrs – Igor Rytov, Anton Sergeev and Konstantin Besputin? Imagine two reasons at once.
First, yesterday, June 14, the Russian Bogatyrs won a three-race mini-regatta dedicated to one of the sponsors of the Melges 20 World League – Garmin (which, as you know, manufactures GPS navigation equipment and sports watches). “Warriors” scored 5 points (one first and two second wards).
It is pleasant to note that the teams under the Russian flag were also in the second and third places: Nika Vladimir Prosikhina and Alex Team Alexander Mikhailik scored 19 points each; while Pirogovo Alexandra Ezhkova (21 points) turned out to be in 5th place. And just five of our yachts are located in the top ten.
Needless to say, powerfully made! It is a pity that the results shown in Garmin Day are not included in the official Melges 20 World League standings. But there's nothing to do here.

But those races that took place today, June 15 – in Quantum Race Day – were included in the World League standings. And this is the second reason why we publish a picture of "Warriors". Because Rytov, Sergeev and Besputin performed in the style of Vladimir Krutskikh: three starts – three victories! And, accordingly, 3 points.
In the top ten, this time 4 teams under the Russian flag – however, in the top three, except for the Russian Bogatyrs, there are no ours.
