At the same time, several times the boats of GUARDIA DE FINANZA approached us from the darkness of the night (google that for the structure) – they shone with searchlights for a couple of minutes and just silently disappeared into the night (they looked at the crew’s response, they were looking for illegal immigrants). I don’t understand, at least kill me … we came up with a lot in the country {in the country in the sense of, we adopted a lot of good and wonderful things from the same Europe – we have a lot of things that they don’t have until now.

I can only say about the customs (in Novorossiysk) ONLY GOOD, because at the approach to the pier – the inspector was already standing. He refused tea altogether, saying that he was obliged to “arrange” us in 30 minutes. I cannot say that I am 100% attributing this to the fact that the chief (or even two customs) was either removed or put at all, no … depends on the person. On how he does his job and what opinion wants to leave me currently (again, I have only positive feedback about the customs)

I understand – in a country where yachting is developed, as we have grain transportation by KAMAZ (I mean the number) and the coastline is almost the entire state border of the country – every second policeman there, every third port captain and berth chief, went at least once on a yacht, participated in regattas …- they understand everything from the inside and try to RELAX all the procedures, leave a pleasant impression, create a safe environment …

And we have … Gentlemen, what did you do to facilitate, simplify, and good memories?! (I know that there are not a few who read such “me”, including from the list of port authorities) YES NOTHING. Nothing at all.

I have a recording of the conference in Moscow under the chairmanship of Olersky, where he gives CLEAR instructions to create conditions and opportunities for yachtsmen to make out REMOTELY (online), arguing that the captain of a yacht, who came from afar, did not have to go a few kilometers to Captain and they will not let go in shorts, that is, “there” there is logic, understanding, humanity – they see the problem, if not always …

It’s a pity, you can’t collect such “bosses” aboard a yacht and go with them for 100 miles in good weather! (Because standing on the bridge of the tanker is one thing and feeling every gust of wind and wave is completely different on the bridge of the yacht.) maybe then even an understanding of what is happening would have changed a little? ..

I still hope that this generation of pseudo-commanders will be replaced by a new generation of young, modern, mobile and adequate leaders who are still ready to solve existing problems, rather than unsubscribe to Moscow that everything is fine ..

In 2015, when I was still working in the Novorossiysk portnadzor, the sailing ship Mir came to our port.

I was on duty on the night shift and from the window of the 4th floor in the morning with the whole shift (5 people) watched as several buses changed cadets of the Vladivostok school, who were doing the practice on a sailboat …

Looking at this, the peasants discussed what, they say, there is a practice on a sailboat for a shipowner or a shipowner — neither the cargo system, nor the CPU, etc., they say, a waste of time.

At about 7.30 in the morning, our main biggest chef appeared in the port control room, said hello, asked how things were going, and then went to the window and said, oo, the other students came to practice … imagine how lucky they were to practice on a sailboat ?!
And the entire port surveillance, nodding in one voice, very lucky, very much, it is better to pass the practice on a sailboat, you can’t think of anything better!

For some reason I felt funny and sad at that moment. For 2 minutes, only ONE person entered and went into the office, and 4ro changed immediately …
