On the morning of 12 December, the Russian party non-stop round the world regatta single Golden Globe Race Igor Zaretsky began to overtake his boat “Esmeralda” in EMU point, the suburb of Albany (Australia) where the boat will be lifted out of the water and to cleanse us from thickets of sea ducks.

The Russians said that the first passenger he saw in the Atlantic. The baby grew directly astern. The captain befriended him: greeted and wished good night. But then it turned out that the duck brought into a new home all their big happy family.

The day before, the morning after the arrival of the Russians in Albany, the support team was busy developing a plan of action. In particular, ashore for overhaul unloaded all the sails. Soon they were taken to Perth and only there to patch.

Think Zaretsky is not discouraged.

Even in the evening of 10 December, barely arriving in Albany and not even having time even to sleep, in a conversation with friends and family who came to meet him at the port, he mentioned that going to participate in GGR in 2022.

“I’m stuck!” — admitted Zaretsky.

While the Russians are busy preparing their boats for the continuation of this voyage in the class Chichester, Australian mark Sinclair (Mark Sinclair), who came for the same purpose in the native port Adelaide and made all the necessary… decided to stay home. Now, if all the other GGR members all will be good competition in the class Chichester we will not see.

Now danger threatens American to Kopar Istvan (Istvan Kopar), running fourth in the race and crossing the Pacific ocean.

Approximately in the same area where during a storm in early November severely damaged the mast, the leader of the regatta Frenchman Jean-Luc van den Heede (Jean-Luc van den Heede), and in early December was left with a bare deck of a British woman, suzy Goodall (Susie Goodall), again raging element. Kopar was trying to get away from this weather front to the East, but it changed its path. Now Americans just need to try to get South and get to the “eye” of the cyclone where the wind is not as strong.
