For the 12th time!

In yachts-club “Pirogovo” ended the XII open championship of Russia on sailing in the national class of yachts “em-Ka”. The regatta was held at the yacht club for the 12th time, and until its final day, it was not clear who will be the winner of the awards.

There were 9 races. In the first day 4 races, one on the second day of the regatta. And finally, on 29 September it was planned to hold four races at the South-East wind up to 20 knots.

As noted by the Chairman of the protest Committee, the head of the Body, with a fairly close contest, the race went carefully from the point of view of compliance with the rules. Was filed and dismantled five protests the imposition of appropriate fines and penalties. There were no serious incidents. The fight was quite dynamic even in the second day of the regatta – the almost complete absence of wind.

Before the awarding and announcement of winners were announced the overall results of the sailing season is 2019. The organizers established a special category and awarded prizes and gifts to people who are actively involved in the life of the yacht club.

In the category “Best tie of the season-2019”, the winner was Nicholas vodyanitskii, which was held 20 races per season. Alexander Peterson is not the first season in a row retained the title of “Best steering”. Best skotovi season was named Vladimir Mayans.

The culmination of the evening was the ceremonial announcement of the winners. Champions were members of the crew of RUS 69 Alexander Peterson, Sergey Desyukevich and Vladimir Mayans managed to keep the lead throughout the regatta.

Five years ago, Alexander became the champion of Russia – and here it is with the team again became the winner of the honorary title and lifted the challenge Cup of the open championship of Russia in the national class of yachts “em-Ka”!
