Five weeks, 90 races and 55 participants

Academy sailing of the Yacht club of Saint-Petersburg had one of the biggest racing series in the virtual race in the country – Virtual Regatta Super Series.

As reported https://www.sailing-academy.ru last week ended with a virtual series Virtual Super Series Regatta. The race kicked off may 19 and the finals took place on 16 and 18 June. For four stages the racers figured out who among them is worthy to participate in the Grand final and compete for prizes. Each stage had two days and consisted of 10 races. All final receipts went into the General classification winner was recognized as the athlete with the lowest score over four stages and a Grand final. In the Grand final the scores were doubled.

In the age category till 14 years the riders were divided into two groups of 19 people. In the category up to 18 years old showed 17 athletes. In a series of regattas attended by children from St. Petersburg, Dolgoprudny, Miass, Votkinsk, Kaliningrad, Mozhaisk, polar, Konakovo, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, Moscow and Voronezh.

In the youngest age group win traditionally fought the favorites of all virtual regatta sailing Academy sports Black Nikita and Andrei Susenkov. The format of the super Series might be better suited for the winner of “E-sails” and “Electronic Armada” – Nikita Black. He won all the stages and won the gold. Andrew lost to a competitor 25 points and became the second. For the third place a stubborn fight between Anastasia Babanova and Vladimir Lyubomirov in which Anastasia was a little luckier.

In the older group was not equal Kirill Dunenkova. The athlete consistently passed all four stages and won with a good margin. Behind him is located Taisiya Kuzmin and Yegor Pakhmutov.

For five weeks the organizers of the Virtual Regatta Super Series held 90 races. This racing series has become one of the largest in Russia.
