The organizers of the Vendée Globe round-the-world (which, we recall, starts November 8) announced the qualification race Vendée-Arctic-les Sables d’olonne with a length of 3600 nautical miles.
This race starts on 4 July on the route Les Sables-d’olonne (France) to the North (West of Iceland) up to the Arctic circle, turn South to the Azores Islands, and then return to Les Sables-d’olonne.
Presumably, the course time should be about 10 days.
The organizers of the Vendée Globe has decided to hold Vendée-Arctic in connection with the cancellation (due to pandemic) two transatlantic qualifying races. The list of participants Vendée-Arctic will be known, is expected in early June.
