A new entry on Lera Kovalenko’s page: “The First Russian Open Waszp Championship 2019 took place on Lake Garda (Malchezene). On the only scheduled racing day, we managed to hold 4 races in the one-on-one race.
According to the decision of the Race Committee consisting of: Igor Lisovenko, Sergey Avdonin and Alexey Borisov, Andrey Malygin was recognized as the first champion of the Russian Federation in the Waszp class.
The President of the Russian Waszp Association, Mikhail Poslamovsky (Mikhail Poslamovskiy), congratulated the rider on a confident victory and expressed hope for the successful development of the class in the Russian Federation, because in 1 day interest in the class among Russian riders increased by 25 percent.
