Congratulations to Comanche and Sergey Dzhienbaev!
The first to finish in Hobart, completing the famous 628 mile race Rolex Sydney to Hobart yacht race, was the team Comanche (100 Supermaxi). Owners and skippers of the yacht are Samantha Grant and Jim Cooney.
This is not the first time the team got Line Honors: it is Comanche that holds the record for the Sydney-Hobart race – 1 day, 9 hours, 15 minutes and 24 seconds. This time the result is noticeably worse – 1 day, 18 hours, 30 minutes and 24 seconds. The yacht overcame the distance of the jubilee 75 race at an average speed of 14.8 knots.
We are pleased to note that the representative of Russia has a direct relationship to the success of Comanche: the well-known Sergey Dzhienbaev was on board during the race. Congratulations from Yacht Russia!
The second to finish was InfoTrack – 1 day, 19 hours, 14 minutes and 42 seconds (average speed – 14.5 knots). In third place, Wild Oats XI – 1 day, 20 hours, 12 minutes and 52 seconds (14.2 knots).
