On the second race day of the world championship in the Laser Standard class, which takes place in Melbourne, all three Russian representatives improved their position.
The best among the Russians – Maxim Nikolaev – now occupies 17th place (on the eve he was in 38th). After four races (with one surge), Maxim has 18 points, arrivals (21) – 6 – 4 – 8.
Sergey Komissarov is now in 21st position (on the eve of 36th) – 21 points, parishes (17) – 9 – 6 – 6.
We will note that Nikolaev and Komissarov are ahead, among others, of the winner in Rio 2016 and world champion 2019 Tom Burton from Australia (in 25th place) and the winner of five Olympic medals of the Brazilian Robert Scheidt (37th).
The third representative of the Russian national team Daniil Krutskikh also improved his positions: on the eve he was 87th, and now 62nd: 55 points, arrivals (39 DPI) – 18 – 21 – 16.
At the very top there was a change of leaders: in front of now is the German Philip Boule and the Frenchman Baptist Bern. Both have 3 points.
