In the Nizhny Novgorod region ended the traditional regatta “the Cup of R. E. Alekseev”, within which passed the championship of Russia in classes Chetvertichnykh and Open800.
Anniversary regatta, as reported https://rusyf.ru with reference to the press-Secretary of the races, Olga Kolosov became the largest for all history of the “Cup Alekseev” at the start of the first race came 64 yachts from Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Saratov, Cheboksary, Kazan, Cherepovets, Taganrog and other Russian cities. The competition was presented to groups Chetvertichnykh division, “Heavy”, Open800, the half tone with a division of Carter 30, ORC and RPO.
In total, the regatta was held 14 races. Sunday, August 4, held three short races in the area of the outport of White river. The next day, with a long route race regatta went to borough organisations. In local waters for two days of racing, the Committee held a two by four short races. The winners of the short race were awarded prizes by the city district administration organisations.
In parallel with the “Cup R. E. Alekseev” 6-7 August in the waters Sokolsky was a children’s competition “a Small Cup Alekseyeva” in the yacht class Missile-270. Thursday 8 August with a long route race participants returned to the yacht club “Belaya Rechka”, where on August 9 and 10 completed three more races.
Throughout the regatta the weather felt the participants to the test. Fresh wind, rain and rather low for August, the air temperature was added to racing sharpness. Unfortunately, not everyone managed to get through the regatta to the end: four boats dropped out of the competition due to breakdowns.
Champions of Russia in 2019 became the crew of the yacht “MiG” (Nizhny Novgorod, captain Andrey khaydukov) in class Chetvertichnykh and yachts of Globus, OOO (Saint Petersburg, captain Andrey Nikandrov) in the class Open800.
The Cup Rostislav Evgenievich Alexeev and this year won the crew of yacht “Frolic” (Moscow, MSU University, captain Victoria Veselova).
