      Champions – “Mig” and “Globe”
In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the traditional regatta “R.E. Alekseev’s Cup” ended, in the framework of which the Russian championships in the Quarterton and Open800 classes were held.

The jubilee regatta, according to https://rusyf.ru with reference to the race press secretary Olga Kolosova, has become the largest in the history of the Alekseyev Cup: 64 yachts from Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg went to the start of the first race Saratov, Cheboksary, Kazan, Cherepovets, Taganrog and other cities of Russia. The competition included Quarterton teams with the Heavy Division, Open800, Halftone with the Carter 30 Division, ORC and RPO.

In total, 14 races took place within the regatta. On Sunday, August 4, three short races took place in the vicinity of the outskirts of the White River. The next day, with a long route race, the regatta went to the city district of Sokolsky. In two days, the race committee held two route and four short races in the local water area. The winners of the short races were awarded prizes by the administration of the city district Sokolsky.

In parallel with the “R.E. Alekseev Cup” on August 6-7, in the Sokolsky water area, the children's test “Small Cup of Alekseev” was held in the Rocket-270 yacht class. On Thursday, August 8, with a long route race, participants returned to the Belaya Rechka yacht club, where on August 9 and 10 three more races took place.

Throughout the regatta, the weather tested the participants for strength. Fresh wind, rain and rather low for August air temperature added races to races. Unfortunately, not everyone managed to get through the regatta to the end: four boats dropped out of the competition due to breakdowns.

The 2019 Russian champions were the crews of the Mig yacht (Nizhny Novgorod, captain Andrei Khaidukov) in the Quarter-ton class and the Globus yachts (St. Petersburg, captain Andrei Nikandrov) in the Open800 class.

The Rostislav Evgenievich Alekseev Cup was won by the crew of the Shalun yacht this year (Moscow, Lomonosov Moscow State University, captain Victoria Veselova).
