Behind almost 5,000 miles!
The famous French skipper Francis Jouillon and his crew of 4 people for 9 days continue the race against time. Recall that the goal of the IDEC Sport maxi-trimaran team is to set a new world record on the classic Tea Race route from Hong Kong to London.
According to crew members, everything is on schedule, there are no problems on board. 4930 nautical miles have already been covered, but much more ahead – 8450. Now IDEC Sport is 616 miles ahead of the schedule of the current record holder – Italian Giovanni Soldini on the Maserati Multi 70 (achievement set in 2018).
Over the past 24 hours, IDEC Sport has traveled 649 miles with an average speed of 27.1 knots. And closer to the Cape of Good Hope!
