According to the Russian SB20 class association, the AM-RUSARC crew (Anastasia Morozova, Anna Bogomolova, Dmitry Tretyakov, Aida Maximova) took part in the SB20 Grand Slam regatta as part of Cowes Week and took third place.
Competitions, in which 19 crews performed, were to take place in four racing days from August 10 to 13. However, in the first two races were canceled due to a strong wind, and therefore the participants took to the water only 12 numbers. On this day, the organizers held three races in low and medium winds. AM-RUSARC, having spent almost 9 hours on the water, drove off well: arrivals – 3, 3, 6. On the final day – two races with a wind of 10-12 knots. Parishes 3, 3.
“In Kaus, the races for the SB20 are, among other things, the route races on the buoys and signs of Solent,” says Anastasia Morozova. – On the first day, the first race lasted about an hour and a half, then short traditional race three loops with the usual distance. On the second day, the first race is about two hours, six characters and a short two loop. The specificity of the Solent, in terms of currents and tides, was fully appreciated.
