Barcolana: everything is great, only the wind …
More than two thousand sailing ships of various classes yesterday took part in the famous Barcolana regatta, which was held for the 51st time this year, in Trieste (Italy).
Alas, the colorful race, which has long held a record for the number of participants, was summed up by the weather: the wind did not exceed three knots, and although the distance was reduced, only half of the 1076 ships that started could finish.
The winner of the race was the 80-foot Way of life maxi yacht with Slovenian Gaspar Winchets on the helm.
