The world’s largest (by number of participating yachts) sailing regatta Barcolana, which takes place this year in the 51st time, I decided to limit the number of participants.
After 2016 to 2018, the number increased from 1765 boats to 2689, the management of the regatta is based on the opinion of the port authority – limited the maximum number of starting yachts 2700.
Barcolana, incidentally, is not only the largest but also one of the biggest regattas in the world, annually generating a total profit of about 70 million euros.
