Australians and an Englishwoman

On the Japanese island of Enoshima, where a year will host the Olympic sailing regatta and ended the world championship in the 470 class. Today was held the medal race.

The Russians in which, alas, was not involved, although Paul Sozykin and Denis Gribanov was extremely close to this – they, we will remind, 11-th result. Terribly hurt, although, of course, the comforting fact that Paul and Denis won for Russia the Olympic licence. Well, we wish the guys lifting at the Olympics higher – that in fact they are quite capable!

As for the men’s medal race, we will remind, gold could claim only two of the crew – Jordi Xammar/ Nicholas Rodriguez from Spain (they had a 23 points) and Australians Matthew Belcher/ will Ryan (24), since the others were far behind.

However, the long-awaited battle for the title took place. Xammar and Rodriguez violated the rule of the flag “I” by opening the Aussies the way to gold.

In women, Alisa Kirilyuk and Angelica Chernyakhovskaya took far 29th place. The winners of the regatta were the Englishwoman Hannah mills (Olympic champion in Rio 2016) and Aled McIntyre.
