No may day demonstrations. On the water the Navy was sent a little later than planned at the beginning of the 12th, and on the shore, the athletes began to return only in the region of 17 hours.

This was due primarily to the unstable Sochi by the wind. After a successful first race, the wind changed direction and strength, going to the Bank, on the contrary, in the open sea.

An hour of agonizing waiting, the judge finally made the decision to start, and luckily for all, it has paid off. 2 more races completed the qualification and reallocation of “gold”, “silver” and “bronze” fleets.

Artem Maksimkin (Dolgoprudny, Vodnik) remains absolutely inaccessible to competitors – again, the first three of the parish, a “fence” in the jargon of the sailors. Second place went to last year’s silver prize-winner of Superiority of Russia in the class “Optimist” Danil Ivanov (Saint-Petersburg, “Krestovsky island”), he’s got 7 points, a 1-2-2 parishes today, the third was an athlete dspk “Raut” Andrey Sotnikov (9 points, 3 first parish on the second day), the fourth place is still Cyril Shurenkov (Saint Petersburg Academy sailing of the Yacht club of Saint-Petersburg) – 11 points, parishes 7-1-1.

It is important to note that Daniel and Andrew are left with the right to a mistake – according to the position of the regatta with only one result goes to the output. Danilo was disqualified after consideration of the protest on the first day, Andrew came in the second race the 31st, so the guys will try not to risk it in the finals, after all, any bad start or violation of the rules will throw them out of the first three.

Girls the first three places – are still on the pupils of the legendary coach Anatoly Parfenenko from Dolgoprudny: Mary Struk, Alice Ivanova and Dean Zhilkina, and besides, Maria is 10th in the overall standings, and Dean is also a leader among the younger girls. Second place among younger girls still is Eva Turkina (St. Petersburg, “Krestovsky island”), third place went to Julia Naymushin (Krasnoyarsk).

Among the younger boys first, as yesterday, is Dmitry Eremin (St. Petersburg, “Krestovsky island”), Artem Carpita (Sevastopol) – all in the same second, but in third place.

The plan was for the race of the third day is scheduled for 11:00, but some changes can be made to make Sochi the capricious weather.

General management of competitions is carried out by the Ministry of sports of the Russian Federation, all-Russian sailing Federation, the sailing Federation, Sochi together with the Association class “Optimist” with the support of the southern Federal sports training centre “South Sport”.

The names of the owners of the Cup yacht club will be known 04 may at 17.00. The final teams that will represent Russia at the world and European Championships, will be known after the Cup of the Association, which will be held in early June in St. Petersburg.
