April is too cold in Denmark
The European Championship in the Zoom8 class started in Aarhus. Here is what the press service of the Krestovsky Island Sailing School reports:
After a long wait for the wind (the athletes spent about six hours on the water), the organizers managed to hold two races. Elena Obedzinskaya is in third place, Artem Markov on the 22nd, Nikita Ivanov – on the 35th.
Our athletes arrived in Denmark four days before the championship.
“We studied the water area – this was the most important thing,” said trainer Nadezhda Ademasova. – One training day was spent together with the Finnish team, along the way we were engaged in setting up the boats. In the first days we were very cold. Seven degrees of heat, overcast. Only three hours on the water spent. It seems to me very illogical to hold the European Championship at this time of year in Denmark.
Yesterday was the first warm day – 10 degrees.
Starts are scheduled for 12 hours Moscow time, it is planned to hold three races a day.
Results after two races –
