And frost and blizzard
According to the website of the Federation of Sailing of the Novosibirsk Region, on November 18, the Big Cup of Siberia, the open championship of the Novosibirsk Region in sailing in the DN buer class, ended on the ice of the Novosibirsk reservoir.
Frosty weather at the beginning of the competition and a blizzard on the last day of the regatta caused a lot of trouble to the participants and judges. However, boerists once again proved that they are brave and very gambling people. Just imagine that you are racing on ice at a speed of 60 – 70 km per hour on a car that has no brakes, no shock absorbers and a windshield, and all this in a 10-degree frost. Yes, and surrounded by rivals.
As a result, our guest from Germany, Jörg Kolb, won a landslide victory. The second place in a bitter struggle was won by the Novosibirsk resident Alexei Chusov, ahead of the representative of Berdsk Alexander Makogonov, who became the third, and the winner of the previous Cup, Alexei Ovchinnikov.
Representatives of Germany, Poland, Bratsk (Irkutsk region) noted a very warm welcome, excellent organization and expressed hope that the next visit in 2020 will be more favorable weather.
