… and became champions!
According to the website of the sailing school "Krestovsky Island", Vasily Andreev and Leonid Pushev became champions of Italy in the class 29er.
These competitions ended training camp in Sicily.
Dmitry Lazdin / Dmitry Araslanov (Togliatti – St. Petersburg) took the third place, who lost the second place in the final protocol to the Italian team only in the number of first arrivals.
The organizers managed to spend eight races in three days, – says coach Yuri Artemyev. – The wind was very different, often twisted. There were races with weak winds, there were also strong ones, with and without wave.
Well done guys, we actually waited for such a result. Vasily and Leonid confirmed the level of their skill. It is a pity that our second male crew was only a bit short of second place.
As for the women's teams, the 13th place of the crew of Victoria Liksanova / Polina Pereshivkina (St. Petersburg – Moscow) and the 17th Alexandra Lukoyanova and Polina Soloveichik with 39 boats is also good.
