Dutch shipyard AMELS has transferred to the owner of the yacht VOLPINI 2, in a precisely stipulated in the contract date of delivery of the vessel. 57,7-metre Amels series 188 Limited Editions is the first model of a new design AMELS 188, the world’s first yacht, Tier III, and the first vessel, AMELS is equipped with a Hybrid Power. Immediately after delivery VOLPINI 2 went to the Mediterranean sea, where they will spend the summer season.
AMELS 188 were sold in 2017, Mr. Ben Young of SYM Superyacht Management company, representing the owner, repeat AMELS client. SYM Superyacht Management oversaw the entire construction process in close cooperation with the captain and crew.
“AMELS have listened carefully to what was important to the client in the final stages of construction, the yacht is handed over on time and the construction budget was not exceeded,” – says Ben Young. “The whole team AMELS has worked with great pleasure. It is not so often found when the yard really puts his client first and foremost, however, AMELS did it.”
AMELS 188 has a new exterior design by Tim Heywood (Tim Heywood) and interiors by Raymond Langton (Reymond Langton). The hull has a beam of 10.6 meters, which allowed to obtain a huge volume inside the vessel. Living areas include a luxurious Suite for the owner with a folding balcony is 12 square meters, six cabins for guests including a VIP cabin on the upper deck, Sun Deck, Sky lounge, accessible by the Central staircase and lift as well as a beach club and a Wellness area with internal stairs leading to the main salon.

In accordance with the resolution of Tier III on the reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions into the environment, the all-new motor yacht tonnage over 500 GT, construction of which began after January 1, 2016 must reduce emissions by 70%.
In addition to the technology Tier III, 188 AMELS AMELS system equipped with Hybrid Power. The system combines energy sources from waste heat from the engine, battery and the configuration of the generators to increase efficiency and reduce emissions.
