Completed 15-day four racing Maxi-trimaran Brest Atlantiques with 14,000 miles. Most of the race – 8,000 miles – is over. It is planned that later today the leader of the race – Maxi Edmond de Rothschild (skippers – Frank Kamma/ Charles Cadrele) will come to Cape town. Rest early Thursday morning.
The last day was the moment when the catamaran due to wind conditions much closer to each other: for example, Macif (françois Gabaret /Gwenola the Gain) lagged behind the leader by only 50 miles – however, now (at 11.30 Moscow time) the distance between them had increased again to 96 miles.
In third place now Actual Leader Yves Le Blevio and Alex Pella (behind the leader 188 miles), the fourth – Sodebo Ultim 3 Volumes Coville and Jean-Luc of Nelia (255 miles).
That closing was Sodebo, due to two serious breakdowns of one of the floats due to collision with unidentified objects. Because of this, the crew will have to make a pit stop in Cape town. As expected the repairs will take at least 10 hours.
The rest are going in Cape town to round Robben island and take a course for Brest, where they on November 5 took start.
