Jubilee yacht exhibition in Dusseldorf in 2019 for the first time will get high-tech zone. Among other things, visitors will be able to learn more about virtual sailing world Championships which was first held in 2018.
Most attention will be paid to the creators of “Virtual Regatta”. The study of the audience of the game showed that about 50% of a million of its users — young people, which has not yet had real experience on the water. Thus, Virtual Regatta is a potential promoter of sailing and other water sports in the world even among those who do not have the equipment or capability to study.
In the area of high technologies Boot Düsseldorf will be installed eight computers with which during a visit to the exhibition can try their hand at virtual sailing.
To Boot Düsseldorf Challenge you can join and from home, including through a mobile application for iOS or Android. The area of the virtual regatta will become a German city of Kiel.
From 17 to 23 December will be training in a class J/70, from December 31 to January 6 — the Nacra17 class, from 10 to 13 January in offshore races. Then from 18 to 26 January will be four rounds of qualifying races. Two winners each will reach the final, which will take place on January 27. Three best results of the regatta will be some “nice prizes”.
In parallel with the Boot Düsseldorf will be held eSailing Challenge World Championship, organised by the world Association of sailing. The championship starts on 22 January, so the players will have to decide in which competitions they want to participate.
