The yacht became the first Mangusta, with a Fast Displacement hull and is constructed of aluminum. The Fast Displacement hull combines a long range and excellent speed characteristics when the owner so chooses.
The ceremony of launching took place in Pisa, Italy, in the presence of the owner, his family and friends, city officials, as Pisa, Viareggio, of the Balducci family, and all who participated in the creation of the vessel.
“In the automotive world, the definition GranSport is a synonym for high speed and optimal comfort,” said Maurizio Balducci, CEO of Overmarine Group. “These principles have become the key starting point for creating a new line of yachts. We have applied these principles to our business, giving life to the boat, which is a true combination of speed and large power reserve”.
The debut “El Leon” makes us really happy and proud, says Balducci, we have built a remarkably beautiful ship with unique features”.
The range of Mangusta GranSport was developed by designer Alberto Mancini. Her line talking about a yacht with a brilliant personality both aesthetically and functionally, the new line reflects muscular and dynamic lines, typical Mongoose, with aggressiveness, suitable for sports yacht Raised Pilot House.
Rapid profile, a powerful engine, high cruising speed and wide and functional spaces on the Board: this model can easily cover long distances quickly and comfortably.
Aesthetically, it reflects the uniqueness of the Mongoose. The lines are aerodynamic, balanced and simple: feed characteristic shape and extremely dynamic; the air intakes are made like gills, sloping windshields and upright radar arch. Jacuzzi and pool dominate the bow and provide natural light in the owner’s cabin through the glass bottom of the pool. Aft rotation of the Central and side doors gives life “club at sea” made from beautifully appointed terraces and beach areas. The flybridge boasts a Central bar designed to service both spaces, and closer to the nose-dining area, protected by a rigid roof. All external space can be used in complete safety during navigation.
With four MTU engines, 16V 2000 M96L and the presence of stabilizers pitching, the new Mangusta accelerates to 30 knots, with maximum comfort, low fuel consumption and autonomy for about 3500 miles.
